Courage is the price that Life exacts for granting peace,
The soul that knows it not, knows no release
From little things;
Knows not the livid loneliness of fear,
Nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear
The sound of wings.
How can life grant us boon of living, compensate
Full dull grey ugliness and pregnant hate
Unless we dare
The soul's dominion? Each time we make a choice, we pay
With courage to behold the restless day,
And count it fair.

Very nice.
'the soul that knows it not...'
I love the line about courage and said AMEN to myself and then read the next line and said amen again. It is late and I'm looking around and realized I haven't looked at your blog in a while! Now I know why I *thought* of you :-)
I needed to read that and know/remember that I, for one, am one courageous woman lol. For I know peace...peace knows me...and loves me :-)
take care my friend, terri :-)
